Much like many women, I have struggled with loving my body for nearly as long as I remember. I recall as far back as elementary school feeling fat and comparing my body to those around me.
My journey to a healthier me started in late 2014. The week before Thanksgiving to be exact.
I completely changed my lifestyle. Tossed out any and all processed foods, became more active, and grew more aware of my food source.
The gym became my safe place. A space where I could focus on me, meditate, push, have fun, or release negative energy.
In less than a year I lost 85+ pounds.
Success. Happy dance. Total happiness. Right?
Wrong.
I learned the hard way weight loss itself does not bring happiness. One must reflect, change the mindset, grow, and connect with your body and self again.
Our bodies are constantly growing, changing, and aging.
Throw motherhood into the mix and it can be a challenge to find time for you; your body and your mind.
Honestly, I still struggle. But, I have found surrounding myself with beautiful souls helps the process.
They offer love, support, motivation, inspiration, and a sense of connection...even if they aren't aware themselves.
Daily happenings about healthy connections.
Tips/stories about food, nature, bodies, art, & workouts.
